stamps

I was shown a stamp collection of recent designs and its given me a much better understand of the size and the ways the stamps can be linked together, i thought these two best summed up the different ways they can go.

by using the surroundings of the postbox a whole frame is created, i've been constantly thinking of six individual stamps but there are ways of using just one image, opening up my ideas a lot further. the first set of stamps shows just how important the placement can be, without the background they seem like small film adverts? but with the backing theres a kind of irony that comes forward.
