I've missed out on a lot of blog updates! so here are some of the illustrations i've been working on:

Monday

the v and a

Just got an email saying were going to an exhibition at the v and a on wednesday, http://www.vam.ac.uk/content/exhibitions/power-of-making/power-of-making/
as I really want to make this new project 3d I think it will be really helpful, and kind of have what I was hoping the design museum would do!

holocaust surviver

can't seem to get videos to upload, this is a link to a video of a surviver of the holocaust talking about her experience, I do really want to base my product on a young target audience, so i've been thinking if i focus on one individual rather than the millions they might have a better understanding?

I've been talking to a family friend who's grandmother was a surviver, she died a few years ago but he got her to write down her memories of the holocaust so they could never be forgotten, I would really like to use them in my work, making the whole explanation seem more believable to the audience because it is actually real?

Friday

new project 3rd year...

okay, so the research starts again! as were completely on our own with this brief the tutors have made it really clear how important it is to base it on something that interests us. Im still writing the final statement, but my initial idea was to base it around war or past events like the twin towers...and aiming it a young target audience, carrying on with keeping my work 3d I wanted to make something that could maybe be acted out?

After talking through i've realised how broad my subject is and started to focus much more on the holocaust as its come to the time where soon there will be no more survivors left. I've just bought the book "when hitler stole pink rabbit" as i've read a lot of good reviews on it as its based for children but doesn't patronise the reader.
