fashion and textiles museum

I no...not the best photography! but found the illustrations really interesting so wanted to a quick photo, there was a Tommy Nutter exhibition on when I went to visit and even though the museum was really small, it was well thought out and had a lot of his work on display

Jade Folawiyo

I saw Jades work at the design museum and it just made me realise how you can use pretty much anything to create art! her work was made from metals and the ways they tarnish in chemical reactions formed the actual work...sounds pretty complicated to do but think it really pays of in the work.

the tate modern...

Im basic my dissertation around the photographer Diane Arbus, and herd about her work being in exhibition at The Tate, so went along to have a look!
I've seen so many books of her work and images online I wasn't really expecting to feel or find anything different there, but I actually found so many more photos that I hadn't seen and (already feeling like I personally know the woman!) they all seemed to make a much bigger impact seeing them all together. Heres a few of the photo's I took of her work and quick sketches I made while there...

personal research...

from my work last year I really thought I would benefit from seeing current work and regularly going to exhibitions...my summer aim! I have done better than I thought and along with my placement i've decided I definatley want to go into 3d work for my project next year (i seemed to keep falling into it anyway, so hopefully if I actually plan it to, it might work out better!).

in the next few days I will put up the work I came across etc!
